Raise DC Staff and Operations
Farhana Rabbi joined Raise DC in September 2017 to support the organization's staff and Change Networks. She also serves as a Parent Advocate with DC School Reform Now and a course facilitator at Johns Hopkins University.
After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 2014, Rabbi developed her content knowledge of education as an Inclusion Leader for Teach for America Houston Corps, an elementary school STEM educator and Programs Chair, and a policy analyst with Rice University's Houston Research Consortium.
She moved to DC in June 2016 to complete her Masters in Education through Johns Hopkins University and pursue her passion for equity in education policy and programming. She has worked with a variety of government agencies and community groups in DC, including the Office of the Student Advocate housed in the State Board of Education, Parents Amplifying Voices in Education, and Leadership for Educational Equity.
