INSTITUTE FOR EDUCATION LEADERSHIP
Institute for Education Leadership
Since 1964, The Institute for Education Leadership (IEL) has been working with organizations across the nation to build stronger partnerships between school providers, educators, education organizations, and individuals to provide children with a quality education. IEL works within education systems’ existing parameters to support innovation and scholastic leadership alongside its partners.
Recently, IEL has partnered with the DC Alliance for Youth Advocates (DCAYA) to create a professional development training academy for staff members of youth provider organizations and programs. The year-long training program tutors organization leaders to ensure their reach and effectiveness and within the community.
Since the formation of Raise DC, IEL has been an invaluable partner to the Youth Employment Change Network. Due to IEL’s long-standing involvement with youth issues nationwide, the organization provides valuable input at YECN roundtable discussions. IEL shares strategies from their national experience and brings attention to various issues that hamper the success of district youth. Over the upcoming years IEL hopes to strengthen its relationship with Raise DC through connecting with other similar organizations within YECN.
